Provenance: From the collection of Sandra Cumings Malamed, one of the foremost scholars of Colonial Jewish history. She has lectured throughout the United States and abroad at various historical societies and museums and has been Scholar-in-Residence for many private organizations. She has served as a curator at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and as Visiting Curator at the American Jewish Historical Society in Waltham, Massachusetts. She lives and works in Los Angeles, California.

Provenance: Descended in the Taylor family until it sold from the estate of Emily Drayton Taylor's grandson at Sotheby's New York, on January 28-31 1993, and owned thereafter by a private collector.
